Any one of these illnesses can be devastating, and some people with mental illness may also struggle with addiction. But your illness doesn’t define you. We treat the whole person, including your physical and mental well-being, with opportunities to heal, learn, and grow.
We offer:
Counseling, also known as therapy, is one of the simplest ways to achieve a happier, healthier you. When you meet with a clinician for counseling, you’ll have the opportunity to speak openly about any challenges you may be having. Together, you and your counselor will work to build a plan and identify the tools to help you tackle any issues and get you back to being your full self.
In individual counseling, you will meet one on one with a counselor. Your counselor will listen to you with an open, non-judgmental ear and will provide evidence-based tools and practices to help you. Whether you are working through a traumatic event, in need of new coping skills, or trying to break free from bad habits, your counselor can help get you where you want to be.
Participating in group counseling is similar to individual counseling, except you will join other people who may be experiencing a situation or problem that is similar to yours. Together, the group can share experiences and work together toward recovery and well-being.
With family counseling, you and other members of your family (spouses, partners, children, parents, and or siblings) meet together with a provider to improve relationships and combat any mental health challenges the family might be experiencing.
We will guide you in establishing your goals or focus of treatment, planning the structure, and developing the necessary skills to communicate effectively between yourselves. We aim to provide a space for you and your partner to gain insight into current relationship dynamics and the role you play, expressions emotions more effectively, learn to speak your partner’s language, and improve the ways you interact with each other.
Adolescent therapy incorporates a variety of methods used to help children or adolescents with their behavior, emotions, and relationships. They may be able to share their feelings and resolve problems through talking, drawing, building, play therapy, and pretending. These avenues of expression allow them to resolve conflicts, understand their feelings and issues, receive emotional support, and rehearse new solutions to their recurring problems.
When a person is affected by both psychiatric illness and chemical dependency, they are suffering from co-occurring conditions, known as Dual Diagnosis. Psychiatric illness and chemical dependency impact an individual physically, psychologically, socially and spiritually.
Our Dual Diagnosis services focus on mental health recovery and addiction recovery issues that may be afflicting an individual.
