Definition of Position: Under the direct supervision of the administrator and the clinical director, peer support counselors are staff, who have lived experience of substance abuse or addictions. The cornerstone to this position of recovery support is that they have lived an experience that is deeply valued by some clients in recovery and addiction treatment. The long term treatment outcomes are sometimes improved when people have help linking to community based recovery supports.
The Licensed Clinical Social Worker is responsible to insure the quality of the treatment program. The Licensed Clinical Social Worker works in conjunction with the Clinical Supervisor and the Program Coordinator to develop/implement modifications to the adult treatment schedules and treatment forms and formulation of new treatment program formats.
We are looking to add a treatment provider to our team to deliver high quality, evidence-based psychiatric outpatient services as well as Medically Assisted Treatment. Our Psychiatric providers are responsible for ensuring the treatment of patients who come to our Behavioral Health Clinic. This provider will assess, diagnose and treat our patients and recommend and refer to other services in and out of the organization.
Under the direct supervision of the administrator and clinical director, a counselor will function as a counselor for clients who are engaged in alcohol and other drugs of abuse. This position encompasses a counselor who can oversee clinical admission, coordinates and facilitates treatment planning to ensure adherence to core requirements, oversees client’s progress and recommends or modifies a course of treatment when needed, monitors discharge planning, reviews personal history files and court documents, and conducts client interviews, gathers pertinent information with the use of screening and assessment instruments such as ASAM and DSM standards, and diagnoses and /or classifies substance abusers and clients with other mental health issues if appropriately licensed. Prepares written treatment plans, monitors, and documents client progress in relation to treatment plans, goals, and objectives and adjusts a client’s level of care accordingly. Conducts orientation, individual, group counseling, intervention, education, and referral. Consults with and utilizes other services, agencies, resources, and professionals as needed, and performs other duties as assigned. Provides counseling within licensure scope of work.
